Staying Fit Using your Stroller

3 Simple Moves to Incorporate into your Next Stroller Walk!

So many of our FITMOM Members report that regular walks with their baby/toddlers are an important part of their fitness routine.

We are big supporters of regular and consistent exercise since we know that frequent movement breaks help to improve your sleep, boost your mood and break up your day. Taking your exercise outdoors is also known to help reduce stress and feelings of anger or frustration. Exposure to sunlight helps to increase Vitamin D production, which may also be linked to improving your mood. Spending as little as 15 minutes outside in the fresh-air, moving your body can have a longer positive impact on your mindset. So, here’s a little inspiration for your next walk!

Try to perform each move for 30 seconds and rest for 10 before moving onto the next exercise. Repeat the circuit up to 4 times.

1.Blast off Squat

Blast off Squat: A low or high impact option to increase cardio challenge on your next Stroller Walk.

2.Peek-A-Boo Lunge

Incorporate a little fun and play with your baby/toddler with this interactive move.

3.Single leg deadlift with knee tuck

Here is a great exercise to help strengthen your back and your core.

At our FITMOM Stroller Strength classes we like to weave in walking/running intervals in between our sets, however, feel free to just do these 3 moves as an independent circuit, if that’s your preference. Enjoy!
